Site Basics

Like all web sites, the individual pages are linked together by hyperlinks. On the Ascham Homes web site hyperlinks are black and underlined. In some pages the links are images. You can always tell whether a link is present by hovering your mouse pointer over it - the cursor will change from a point to a hand.

Every page on this site has links to all the ‘top level’ index pages. For example, every page will allow you to return to one of the "top level" categories listed below, or to the Home Page.

You can see where you are within each area of the web site by looking at the breadcrumb trail at the top of the page. This feature lets you go back to the pages you have visited.

Technical Issues
Target browser versions:
We check the appearance of our pages using Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0, Netscape Navigator 4.0, and above. Other browsers, and earlier versions of these browsers, will probably render the page correctly but at present we do not explicitly support this. The site is designed assuming a screen at 800 x 600 pixels in full-screen view. The web site will however retain its integrity at any size larger than this.

Download speed:
We have tried where possible to make pages of such a size that they will load within 30 seconds using a dial up connection during ‘normal traffic’ conditions. This is dependent upon the content of the pages and so its unavoidable that some pages will take longer than this to load.
