Wooden Floors
Waltham
Forest’s tenancy agreement allows tenants to carry out works to
their homes to make it as comfortable and individual as they wish
providing they obtain written permission from Ascham Homes.
If you would like to lay laminate flooring (wooden floors) in
your home, you will need to request written permission, before
doing so. This permission may be refused if Ascham Homes judges
that the laying of wooden flooring may cause a nuisance to
neighbours.
We ask that you are mindful of the noise levels within your home
and be aware that wooden flooring can create loud acoustic sounds
which can cause a nuisance to others. You will need to ensure you
have laid insulation underneath the floors.
Do not let children run around late at night and try to minimise
any excess noise by laying rugs in areas to break up sounds.
