Estate Inspections
Every estate is inspected on an agreed frequency by Ascham Homes
and resident representatives. How often the inspection is carried
out will depend on requirements of the block for example it may be
inspected more regularly if it suffers from littering or antisocial
behaviour.
During the inspection, all parts of the estate will be inspected
and graded depending on it cleanliness. Inspections are given a
grading A, B, C or D in line with the Environmental Protection Act.
Grade A is excellent and Grade D is poor.
During the inspection other things will be looked at such as how
clean the windows and lights are, if there are any cob webs, are
repairs required, whether the grass, trees and shrubs are properly
maintained and the area is weed free.
Information collected during the inspection is recorded on an
inspection sheet and information about repairs orders raised and
the grading given is fed back to the estate
stakeholder for that estate.
Some areas of the Borough have been identified as Priority areas
and are inspected more frequently.
