Community Cohesion Initiative

What is Community Cohesion Initiative Grant:

The CCI is a discretionary scheme (subject to funding and meeting the recognition criteria) for Tenant and Resident Associations.  There is a maximum of £700 that can be applied for at any calender year.  Ascham Homes are committed to involving tenants and leaseholders in the continuing process of improving our services and community cohesion activities. These funds are to be used on event or activities under catogories:

• Young People Activities
• Health and Well Being
• Community Involvement

There are 3 different parts of forms that are required to be read and completed.  These forms can be found on the end of this webpage and are:

• Guidance Notes (Must be read before completing the application form)
• Application Form

and

• Declaration Form

The attached Guidance Notes are intended to give applicants:

• Practical help and advice on how to complete the form
• An understanding of the type of activities CCI will fund
• A checklist for what to include with your application

and

Tells you about:

• What CCI will not fund
• How likely is the applicant to get funding
• How much can you apply for
• What are the funding themes / priorities
• and a step-by-step explanation guide

The following Tenants & Residents Associations (TRA) were successful in applying and obtaining Community Cohesion Initiative funding from Ascham Homes:

Oak Hill Court TRA - Applied for £700.00 in June for a Fun Day

Bakers Almshouses TRA - Applied for £600.00 in August for a coach outing to Southend and Leigh-On-Sea

Hatherley House TRA - Applied for £700.00 in August for a coach outing to Hastings

Priory Court TRA - Applied for £700.00 in August for a coach outing to Bournemouth
