Area Contract Panels
Area Contract Panels take place on a 4 / 6 weekly basis to allow
tenant associations, tenants and leaseholders the opportunity to
make their views known and to scrutinise the work of Ascham
Homes.
They are made up of tenants, leaseholders and Ascham Homes
Officers. The 'Terms of Reference' governs the meeting and the
'Partnership Protocol' is for tenants, leaseholders and officers to
understand and appreciate their respective positions and
responsibilities.
There are four different Area Contract Panels. Below are
the areas that are covered and their meeting venues. These
are:
Area 1&2 - East Walthamstow and
Chingford
Meeting venue: Ascham Homes, Willow House, London, E17 4UH
Area 3 - West Walthamstow
Meeting venue: Priory Court Community Centre, South Countess
Road, London, E17 5NB
Area 4 - South Walthamstow
Meeting venue: Alpha Business Centre, London E17 7NX
Area 6 - South Leytonstone
Meeting venue: Epicentre, 41 West Street, London, E11 4LJ

Terms of Reference - Contract Panel Meetings
Claiming for travel and childcare expenses
Ascham Homes will reimburse tenants and leaseholder attending
contract panel meetings any legitimate travel or childcare expense
they have incurred. All claims for refund will need to be
made on a claims form and will need to be supported by a valid
receipt. The following are claimable expenses:
- Travel to and from the meeting via public
transport or own car
And
- Reimbursement of dependant carer / child care
cost
- Nominated TRA
representatives:
All TRA representatives who have been
nominated to attend and vote at any Ascham Homes meetings or
Tenants Council on behalf of their association are entitled to
reclaim any expenses they have incurred. Expense claims
(receipt will be required) would need to be made to the
Associations Treasurer. Ascham Homes has made provision for
this as part of the Association Grant Funding.
- Elderly & Disabled
Tenants:
The Residents Involvement Team will arrange
transport or reimburse expense for tenants who attend meetings.
To request transportation to and from venue please contact
the Resident Involvement Team on 020 8496 4038. If you prefer
to arrange your own transport please contact Resident Involvement
Team to get agreement that costs will be reimbursed.
Elderly and Disabled tenants can also request
assistance of signer, interpreter as well are request agenda to be
provided in large print or in audio. All requests need to be
made direct to the Resident Involvement Team.
All request for expense assistance (except TRA
representatives) need to be made to the Resident Involvement
Team.
