Modernising Your Home
Ascham Homes is receiving money from the council to make sure
that every tenant’s home is ‘decent’ by 2011. This means that your
home should be wind and weather tight, warm and with ‘modern
facilities’.
Work that we are doing includes replacing roofs, installing
central heating and new bathrooms and kitchens. The amount of money
available is limited so less work is being done on some properties
than others; we give priority to those homes in the most need of
updating.

a programme to you.
Before we do any work to your home, you will be given sufficient
notice. You will be consulted about any changes to the estate and
given choices about the work we do in your home as far as possible
(for example, there will be a choice of colours for kitchens).
We do our best to carry out the work so that it fits in with any
special circumstances that you have. When we do the work, your
belongings will be protected and your home will be left as clean
and tidy as possible at the end of every working day.
