Where and how you can pay your service charges

 
you can pay your service charges:
 
By standing order
Please contact the Right to Buy and Leasehold Services team who will send you a standing-order form.
 
On-line
You can pay by debit or credit card only at www.lbwf.gov.uk/payonline
Please have your invoice serial number or your customer account number handy when you log on.
 
By phone
One of our staff can take your debit or credit card payment over the phone for you, using the council’s website.
 
By cheque or cash
Take your cash or cheque in person to the Council Cash Offices at 4 Churchill, Walthamstow, London, E17 3AG, or to the Town Hall, Forest Road, Walthamstow, London, E17 4JF.
 
By post
Cheques, money orders and postal orders should be made payable to ‘London Borough of Waltham Forest’ and crossed ‘Account Payee only’ .
 
At your bank
Please use the slip attached to your invoice to make sure that the payment reaches your service-charge account.
 
By handitill
You can pay your service charges by placing your cash, cheque or postal order in a payment envelope at a handitill.

HandTills are located at:

    • Opening times Monday to Friday 8.30am – 6pm  
    • Saturdays 9am – 1pm  
  • Friday Hill TMO Housing Office 56 Friday Hill East Chingford London E4 6JT
    • Opening times 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday
  • Ascham Homes 1 Wood Street Walthamstow London E17 3JU
    • Opening times 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday

 
You must fill in the details on the payment envelope clearly, always providing your customer account number, your name and address, and the amount you have paid.
 
Please note that the staff who work in places with a handitill cannot open envelopes, so please make sure you check your envelope before using the machine. It may take a few days for your payment to go into your service-charge account. We will send you a receipt in the post for your records.   
 
The council will not accept liability for any discrepancy of cash or uncrossed cheques placed in handitills.

You must write your service-charge account number on the back of any cheques you send or the payment may not reach your account.
