Reporting a repair
You can report day-to-day repairs in one of five ways.
- Through Ascham Direct, our telephone contact centre, on 020 8496 4197, from 8am – 8pm, Monday to Friday.
When phoning us you may be placed in a queue at busy times, but we aim to answer your call as quickly as possible. The customer service officer will ask you questions about the location and type of repair, and will give you a job number, details of the contractor and an estimated time that the work will be completed.
- At our shop located at 1 Wood Street, Walthamstow, London, E17 3JU, 9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday.
- By post for a non-urgent repair. Send your letter to us at the address above, marking the envelope ‘Repairs’.
- Using the e-mail address: direct@aschamhomes.org.uk
However, even though we check this site regularly during the day, you should not use it for reporting urgent repairs.
- At the Central Library in Selbourne Walk in Walthamstow. You can fill in a referral form which will be faxed through to Ascham Direct for a response within 24 hours.
There are occasions when our residents identify repairs that are necessary that are not to their own home. This could include things like the communal lighting in a block of flats, or the communal drainpipes to a block of garages.
We would always urge people to report these requests for repairs as soon as possible and we will be happy to undertake the work.
If you are aware that damage is being deliberately caused by an individual or groups of individuals we would welcome information that could lead to those people being charged with the costs.
