Seaside and country homes scheme
If you are aged 60 or over, you may apply for accommodation through the Seaside and Country Homes Scheme. This covers many coastal and rural areas around the UK. There are a limited number of properties available through this scheme and some places are more popular than others. Once you have been assessed and accepted onto the scheme, you will be placed on a waiting list for an offer of accommodation. Waiting times will depend on your priority for housing through the scheme and also the demand for available empty properties in individual areas.
