What is harassment?
Harassment is an unwelcome part of the
daily lives of many people. It can take many forms – these are set out
in your tenancy or lease agreement.
Harassment
targets people for particular reasons. It should not be confused with
neighbour disagreements, general nuisance and other forms of antisocial
behaviour. It may include words, actions or failures that are intended
or likely to cause fear, harm, distress or confusion. It can also
include actions which make it difficult for people to live in the quiet
and safety of their own homes and surroundings.
Acts
of harassment by tenants or leaseholders, as well as members of their
household or visitors, are forbidden under the terms of both the
tenancy agreement and the lease.
