Resident Leadership Meetings

The Resident Leadership group holds meetings every six weeks.
 
The main roles of the group are: -
 
  • to represent the tenants and leaseholders views in respect of strategic borough-wide housing management issues.
 
  • to help develop and scrutinise the housing management functions Ascham Homes delivers on  behalf of Waltham Forest Council. 
 
  • to help develop and scrutinise any customer-consultation carried out by Ascham Homes.
 
  • to plan the agendas for Ascham Homes Contract Panel meetings, including agreeing report schedules and items for discussion.
 
The group is made up of the Chair and Vice Chair of Tenants Council, the Chair and Vice Chair of Leaseholder Forum, the Chair and Vice Chair of the BME Housing Forum, the Chairs and Vice Chairs of Ascham Homes Contract Panels and Chairs and Vice Chairs of the young peoples forum, lesbian and gay forum and elderly and disabled forum (when these forums are established). Two representatives will also be invited to represent those tenants who live in scattered properties (also known as 'street properties'). In addition, Tenants Council will be asked to nominate a further two representatives to be members.
