The Community Advice and Involvement Service
The Community Advice and Involvement Service aims to:
- promote good practice in getting residents involved
- increase the number of Tenants and Residents Associations and Estate Stakeholders
- improve the effectiveness of existing Tenants and Residents Associations through training and recruitment
- promote diversity and equality initiatives to increase the number of black and multi-ethnic tenants becoming involved in our decision-making
- work in partnership with other local authorities, statutory and voluntary agencies to tackle social exclusion and help build stable communities

Tenants’ Resource Centre
There
is a well-equipped Tenants’ Resource Centre at 195 Wood Street, E17 3NU
where you can use the computers, laminators, scanners, reprographic
equipment, Internet, and e-mail facilities. There is also a free phone
and a tenant information library. The centre also has access to a
number of community centres, conference venues and tenant rooms that
you can use for free.
The
Tenants’ Resource Centre is open from 10am – 12 noon and 2pm – 4pm,
Monday to Thursday, and from 10am – 1pm on Fridays (subject to review).
