High praise from happy resident
“Wonderful, your workmen are perfect”
Marie Leonty is so very happy to tell us just how much we’ve got it right for her, for her family and for the neighbourhood. The Decent Homes Programme rolls on across the borough and Marie of The Lawns, Chingford, happily speaks to us from her newly renovated balcony. Marie moved in to her flat 13 years ago with her husband and has seen great improvements to the area during this time.
Sadly, Marie’s husband passed away six years ago but Marie enjoys her close family of five children, 10 grandchildren and five great grandchildren, who visit her regularly. Marie particularly wanted us to know what a wonderful job the Resident Liaison Officer is doing, Valerie Roach; who is responding so well to the needs of the residents on the estate while works are carried out.
Marie had nothing but praise for the work of our partner company, Breyer, who have been working on the scheme to replace roofs, renovate balconies, porches and internal electrical wiring. The days of grappling with trailing extention leads are over for Marie due to the multiple sockets being fitted to each of her rooms. Marie is absolutely delighted that each of her appliances can be plugged to its own socket.
