Bursary Award Winner 2008

Luis Rodriguez, Waltham Forest Council tenant living in Walthamstow Village received our £500 Bursary award to support his studies. The cheque was presented by Hassett Auguste, Chief Executive who pulled his name out of a hat at our last AGM in 2007. Luis, who is 39, is studying Fine Art at Goldsmiths’ College in South London.

 

The Bursary will enable him to invest in books and art materials to support his course work. As well as working in more traditional disciplines, such as painting, Luis develops local community arts projects. Luis hopes to lead art workshops for Ascham Homes youth outreach schemes during the summer. What this space...!
