Ascham Homes' resident TPAS winner!

 

Sue Burns, proud mother and bus driver, from the Avenue Road Estate, now holds the title of

‘Tenant of the year 2007 / 2008’. 

 

Sue’s  nomination stood out from all the London and South East nominations at the TPAS Connecting People Awards 2007/2008.

 

Ascham Homes Ltd nominated Sue for her proactive commitment and dedication for the wellbeing of her estate and local area. The estate is in the most deprived part of the borough where unemployment and poverty is high and literacy levels are low.

 

She obtained a staggering £1.5 million for security works to the estate. 

 

Sue, had this to say:  “As far as the community goes, I want to feel safe and want to know that the people that live on the estate are safe”.
