The Housing Act 1985 (as amended) says that the right to buy cannot be given to one joint tenant unless the other joint tenant is included in the claim or signifies their agreement to let the first joint tenant buy on their own by signing the form to say that they do not wish to buy.

The company policy is to charge tenants or leaseholders for the cost of all forced entries we have to make. We will warn all tenants and leaseholders in writing before we carry out a forced entry, tell them that they will be charged our costs including court costs and we will give them an estimated cost for the work.
